WWICS either can't read or they don't understand English.
Years ago, before coming to Canada, I had made an inquiry to them about
their services. Unfortunately, I had emailed the query.

Since then I applied and got immigration and have been in Canada for half a
decade, but WWICS refuses to understand this simple point. They keep sending
me emails saying that rules will soon be changed and why don't you apply
thru us. I have told them several times that I am a long time Canadian
resident and please take me off your list. I thought they weren't a spammer
and they were a legitmate company. I was wrong. The more you tell them to
stop, the more they email you.

This is typical of most spammers.
Simply block their email address or, better still, the entire domain name.
Most email programs/services provide such spam filtering capabilities.

Webcrawler, I am posting this information because I think it'd be of
interest to you. Please read the newsgroup ott.jobs. Specifically the thread
"Did anyone watch CJOH news at diner time?"

Don't look at the job ads. Most are false, but read those threads in which
people who frequent the n.g. engage in conversations. Also subscribe to
Yahoo group Hire Top Talent. It is for Ottawa based unemployed people.

I think it's better to be prepared before immigrating.

I don't want to scare you off, but just to prepare you.
