Work experience requirements question

Hi,

Is the 10 year window for 1 yr minimum full time paid work experience
strictly applied for the skilled worker category? What if some has
relevant work experience just outside the 10 yr window i.e. 1989-92
and additional volunteer (greater than 1 yr) and part time paid (less
than 1 year) work experience in the last 10 years in the same field
(teaching)? Can points be claimed for the above experience?

The requirement is the requirement and would seldom be ignored or
overlooked.
