Default Without IELTS

Is it possible to get a PR without IELTS score??
Iam an Indian and I worked in US for 2 years and 1 year in Europe and
my medium of education was english through out my career.

I get 120 points assuming my english is good.

What will be my english score??
Should my wife also take IELTS test?? How important is IELTS??

Thanks,
Vijay

If your education is in English, you should have no problem getting the
required IELTS score. Go take it (it is not cheap though - about US$250).

Some non English native speaker applicants applied without the IELTS score
by claiming that their education was in English. The luckier ones were
asked to attend an interview where the interviewer assessed their English.
The unluckier ones were rejected in the initial stages.
You want to take this risk?

Hey Vijay,

when you applied, It is not required. Your qualifications are enough.
But there will be chance to ask you. I applied from USA in the Oct
2002. I have not requested yet. But i have requested for PCC and
Medical. I submitted them very lately on Dec 2003.

Thanks

I will take IELTS.
But my wife is pregnant, Can the interviewer let her go without
IELTS?? She feels very uneasy even to sit continuously for 2 hours.
250$ is a lot of money btw.
