Default Which Marriage Certificate (Nevada/California)?

My status: K-1, have married, am working on I-485/765/131

The San Francisco Office says that for Nevada marriages, they want marriage
certificates which show "book and page number"

Well, we got two different certificates from the Clark County Recorder (yes,
we went to Vegas to make it faster!):

1) Marriage Certificate
2) Certified Abstract of Marriage

My hunch (along with the documentation in the office) was that 1) was the
document INS often wants, while 2) is for personal reasons and some catholic
parishes?

Yet, 2) has "Book: xxxxx Instrument: xxxxx" on it.

1) has nothing like book or page on it, yet 1) has the witness' name, our
names and address, the name of the marriage commissioner, address of the
office, etc.. (and the certificate number).

I ordered 2 extra copies of 1) with the belief that I would be sending that
long to INS..

So.. Which one do they want? Can I send in both?

Give them the one which has coloured paper and has a Seal.
The certificate you get from the County Recorder's Office and not
the one they gave u when you got married.

Hope this helps.

Hi:

If you are truly paranoid, give them both. But I think that #2 is the
correct one. The one you get at the time of the marriage is NOT the
correct one, but can be used to get your "foot in the door" for filing,
but you will have to produce the certified copy at time of interview.
