Default Where is the most romantic place in Europe?

I'we wondered for a while where the most romantic place is? I know it's
individual, but any comments are apriciated. Links as well.

Last night I was biking home in Amsterdam. It was close to 4 AM. There was
snow on the streets and trees, it was very quiet on the canals, and I was
with my loved-one. The street lights were glowing, it was clear and I could
see the stars, there was no wind. It was cold (minus 7 C) but pleasant. VERY
romantic.

If beauty is in the eye of the beholder, then maybe romance is as
well. I think it rather depends on the mood of the beholder, too.

Last Monday I went out for the day with a friend on a day trip from
Bristol (UK), to visit some "healing wells" not so far away in South
Wales.

One destination was Patrishow near Abergavenny, a small church tucked
away on the lower slopes of the Black Mountains, accessible by
winding, single-track roads.

There was blue sky, sunshine and silence, snow on the hilltops and a
sense of timeless peace and tranquility. Below the church is St Issuis
well - ribbons tied in the trees to thank the spirit of the well for
cures - little votive candles in the niches of the well's stone
surround.

Magic.

This is mostly wedding related:

Historically, Scotland has always been a popular destination for those
seeking a truly romantic setting in which to make their wedding vows and
several recent high profile weddings have served to highlight the reputation
of Scotland as a great place to tie the knot. As a country, Scotland is
famous for its beautiful and unspoilt scenery, its distinctive culture and
its dramatic history. In addition it is renowned for the high standard of
its cuisine and the quality of its accommodation which ranges from bed and
breakfasts to magnificent castles. Perhaps most importantly though, Scotland
is famed for its hospitality and the genuine warmth of its people.

... one of the most beautiful and romantic parts of Britain. Wester Ross, an
area of stunning natural beauty, home to The Great Wilderness, one of the
last truly wild areas of Europe. A place of golden beaches with hardly a
soul on them, a place of mountains, lochs and islands, and dramatic rocky
coasts. A place where eagles soar, salmon leap, porpoises play and deer feed
beside the roads. A place where yachts and cruise liners call all summer
long.
Choose the summer for long, long lazy days where it stays light late into
the evening; choose the winter for cool crisp days where the mountains are
capped with snow; choose any time of year for peace, beauty and friendly
people.

Church of the Holy Rude was Stirling’s principle church for more than 500
years and the site of the coronation of King James VI (James I of England)
in 1567. It remains the only church still in use for worship that has been
used for a coronation in Britain outside Westminster Abbey.

Open to MANY interpretations but Paris would be number one, followed
by Algarve beaches at sunset in the summer.

An old bomb shelter in the backyard of 55 Bluestone Rd, Moston, Manchester
gets my vote.
