Default What type of visa universities grant

Hi folks,

I'm planning to go back to school in US to do my MSc. Most of the
schools which I'm going to apply are providing fellowship/
scholarships. What I'm wondering is what type of visa I will be
issued? Is it going to be an F1 or J1.

thanks for any info.....

F1 is simpler. Probably appropriate for Master's level. No working. I
don't know anything about financial aid. Usually visa applicant must
show ability to pay for the actual visa so may have some impact in
regard to to when the financial aid information is available.
