Default warning! if you are shipping dogs.....

hi, we are taking our 2 dogs to oz when we get our visa (very soon i
hope) and just found out that they are not to have the leptospirosis
jabs when they get their boosters. i have called my vet and both of mine
have had it, they were injected with the quantum 7 jab which has loads
of stuff in it. anyway the shippers have said it should be ok as it will
be 6 months gone by the time they have their blood tests (which could
show the spiro) but it's still abit scary...so just a note of caution as
if it is under 6 months since they had it i don't think they will pass
their blood test and therefore not be able to go! x loidy

We had the same prob with our dog, she had the lepto vaccine back in Nov
and we were shipping her April. Our shippers and vet both said dont
worry if it comes back positive we retest and as long as the reading
isn't higher then she is fine. As it was no traces showed and she is
now living in Umina, NSW.
