Default Waiting 6 months for spouse visa...update

This is the latest....

I got a call from the Australian Embassy this morning...First time they
have called in more than 6 months so what a surpise it was to hear from
them...Well it seems when we lodged the application in June they forgot
to ask for a vitally important document (my husbands military service
papers)....They are a bit slow here in Bangkok...So today my husband has
to rush off to get this paper translated into English today and then
lodge it at the Embassy...After this is done they said they will be able
to issue him with his visa in a few weeks...But hey its Xmas so we are
not holding our breath...Will keep you updated on just how slow things
are here in Thailand...Chloe...
