If she still an Indonesian citizen, then maybe she should contact an
Indonesian embassy or consulate in Canada for a consultation on how to
travel from Canada to the USoA?
As for improving your chance of success.
Why not the two of you get temporary jobs in the USoA? I heard that
the USoA give good Visa for foreigners provided that they have jobs in
the USoA.
Then also, maybe a letter of guarrante from both your parents and your
educational institute to guarrante you and then a letter of guarrante
from you to guarrante your wife might also improve your chance of
success. Then bank account records and many other stuff. Well... At
least that's the stuff the Japanese imigration asked for an Indonesian
to travel to Japan.
