Hi!
Just got my Visitor Record, as extension to my visitor status, which I
need while waiting for the processing of my in-Canada spousal
application. The timeline: application sent 16 Oct, Visitor Record
received 9 Dec. However, in separate letter Vegreville sent a request
for medical examination as a condition for staying in Canada with the
Visitor Record. Do you know whether this is the normal procedure?
Would you mind looking into my questions about it?:
1. How soon I should get the medical examination done?
There is no deadline on the letter.
2. I had medical examination before, for the immigrant application
(receipt sent together with the immigrant application), is there anyway
to point CIC to use that medical examination report?
Can I just send the copy of previous medical examination receipt with a
letter explaining the situation?
What should be in the letter (the medical report should be sent to CIC
under the name X, for application with payment receipt XXXXXX)?
3. How likely that the doctor willing to just pull his/her record and
fill the medical report form without new examination (with the earlier
date, of course)?
4. From searching this group, it seems that the medical examination for
visitor extension is not as elaborate as the one for immigration, is it
correct? Any estimate on how much this one will cost?
Thank you!
