visa status change
Hi there,
I am currently on a J1 status. My wife who is a J2 has applied for status change to F1 after getting admisssion to do masters at Univesity of Texas. Its already 3 motnths since we applied for her status change. My J1 expires by another two months. I wanted to know if I can apply for H1 status without adding her as a dependent since her application is pending with BCIS. Will my status change will effect my wife's pending application. If by chance her F1 status is rejected can I add her as my dependent (H4) later. How long will it take to add her as dependent Thanks, Sathish |
