I did one a few years back for a contract with the Government. It was
with a panel of 4 in Melbourne, I had to go to a company in Reading that
had all the equipment. It basically went along normal lines to an
English interview going through what the contract required and then
thorugh my qualifications and past experience. Once they were happy
with that there were of plenty of questions about Australia and why I
wanted to work/live there. They were just trying to make sure that I
wasn't wasting their time and was actually going to move to Australia.
I found it more difficult than a regular interview because it was very
hard to guage the feedback that you normally get face to face even
though you can still see them. I think this is maybe due to the time
lag that prevents conversation flowing particularly when there are 5
people involved. They were just as nervous as me.
I also worked with 2 other brits who had also gone through the video
interview. Generally if they are prepared to make the effort to do then
you probably already qualify for the job they just want to make sure you
can do what your CV says and that could actually work with you.
Cheers
