Hi Cheryl, thanks for your reply. Looks like 11 weeks is the
timescale, which means I've got another 3 weeks before I start to
panic! Did you application change to 'Positive' on the Check
Application site? Just wondering whether it worth keep checking or
just to wait for the snail mail. x

When we were putting our Canada application together (long story!), we
looked up 'notaries' in the Yellow Pages and found someone in Nottingham
who did it for £50...which was based on 20 minutes of a £150 per hour
charge...a bit pricey, but we didn't really know better. For the Aus
application, we have gone back to the same notary...again, we should
have shopped around, but we felt comfortable using him again...and we
got a slight discount this time

In Aus, there are more categories of public people who can certify your
docs, but I think the choice in the UK is limited.

Good luck, don't forget to post up news of what you did in the end...

Hi yes I looked everyday and then at week 11 just logged on as usual and
up popped Positive, it was the most exciting day I ran around the room
like a mad thing but it was so long coming. It took another few days
(week) before receiving the paperwork through the post

My Vetasses took 6 weeks, although the agent reckoned it was
going to take 7

Vetassess say yes. Received 'positive' letter on Saturday (15th July)
Office Manager - 67 days after payment was made. Applied on line - my
application status still says active on there, but don't really care now
that I have the piece of paper.

Thanks to everyone that replied. x
