Default Venice tours

I will be in Venice in early March and am looking for group tours of the
typical tourist sites. However, recommended tour groups, such as Venice Walks
and Tours, do not start their tours until mid March. Does anyone know of any
good tour groups I could use?

Thanks.

Hi,
beleive me or not, you do not need a tour to visit Venice.
Buy a good book, and walk where you feel like walking. Each part of the
city is worth a walk with your lover.

I'll second that - who needs the waffling of an expensive guide when you can
explore and learn so much yourself. And you can have the opportunity to
linger in places you like (of which there will be a lot in Venice!) rather
than being whisked off to another tourist sight.

Although I am in general agreement, there is an argunment for a guide.
Venice is complex town -- streets that go nowhere, a confusing address
system, etc. If you have short time in town, it is nice to have someone take
you around. It's one thing to "discover" things on your own, but one spends
a lot of time hunting for and often missing the sites one has come to Venice
for.
They are being polite, of course, but my friends invariably tell me that
they are very glad I was able to show them around town. They get more bang
for the buck, as it were. A guide, rather than a guided tour, is nice.
