Default Value of money, goods, assets

Does anyone know what the purpose of the "What is the total value of
your money, goods and assets that you want to bring to Australia" is on
the PR application form?

It is a nightmare trying to estimate this -
what are the implications of getting it way out??

Cheers,
SD.

I don't think there
are any - but I could be wrong! That's just my opinion.

Hi SD,

Just be
positive. The question is designed to catch the indigent who are going
to be a drain on the national resources from day 1. So if you were to
put a small amount in that space they might threaten you with refusal.

Hi George,

I had mentioned AUD 15,000 in my application. I know this amount is
not enough to live in Australia for two years without job. Probably I
can manage six months with that and I would leave Australia if I
cannot find a job in six months time.

Do you think DIMIA might feel this amount too small that they might
refuse the visa ? Pls advice,

Thanks,

Jojo
