Default UK equivalent I.T qualifications

Hi all,

Does anyone have a list of UK I.T qualifications that are accepted in
Australia? I have seen this information on here before, but I canĀ?t
seem to find it.

Thanks in advance.

Struggling to find it myself mate, I'd imagine most of the
qualifications backed by the likes of Microsoft or Cisco would be
recognised internationally though.

Best advice from me would be to find an appropriate role on a site like
seek.com.au and cold call or e-mail the recruiter in Australia.

Advise them of your qualifications and ask them if they would be
recognised in Australia. The number of IT people moving to Australia is
still pretty high and I'm sure it wouldn't be the first time the
recruiter has dealt with someone form the UK looking for work.

Alternatively you could also speak to the people running the courses to
see if the qualification would be recognised internationally?

I'll have a dig around to see what else I can find and will post more
if I find anything

Cheers

Mark

When I read this, I took it that you were enquiring as to which
qualifications were accepted when applying to the Austalian Computer
Society for your skills assessment. In that case, I believe there are
4, including MCSE and CNE. I do not know what the other two are.

As I understand it, if you hold one of the four, the certification is
considered to be equal to holding an Australian Bachelors degree and
therefore places you in Group A of the ACS categories.

Let me know if anyone finds anything different to this.

Also, at a guess, I would say the Cisco qualifications would make the
last two.

Cheers,

Pete
