Default typo error in information sent

Posted my visa application the other day, form 47sk etc....

I also supplied a sheet with additional information. Information that
wasn't asked for but i thought relevent. This included details of my step-
son who is over 18, not living with us and not dependent.

On reviewing this information if have noticed that i provided the
incorrect year of birth, 87 instead of 86, which would make him seem to
be under 18.

Any ideas on what will happen or how i can rectify this.

Try sending a form 1023 (notification of incorrect answers) the link is
here for you http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/pdf/1023.pdf. May or may
not be the right thing but I'm sure someone will soon tell you.

Yes, in this case, Form 1023 is the form to use.
