Transfer of residence
Hey there helpful guys!
I have a query related to change of address. Say, the following events
happen in the given order.
1. I'm currently residing in Country A
2. I have applied for immigration to Australia and reached the final
waiting stage (after sending medicals and PCC)
3. I have shifted residence to Country B (neither Country A nor B is
Australia)
4. From Country B, I send the completed Change of Address Form to
DIMIA to communicate the relocation
5. DIMIA has sent pre-grant letter to my previous residence (since the
Change of address has still not reached them)
6. A friend in Country A notifies me and I ask him to forward the
letter to my current residence in Country B.
Here come the questions.
1. Can I use this pre-grant letter to get my Visa stamped in Country B
or do I need to go back to Country A?
2. In case this pre-grant cannot be used, can I request DIMIA to send
a new pre-grant to obtain a visa in Country B?
I am sure one could avoid these complications by sending the Address
Change Form in advance. However, what would be the consequences in
case the shift in residence is unplanned?
Thanks in advance.
