Transfer of File from Buffalo to Seattle
Does anyone know if this is a good sign? Our application for Permanent
Residency was initially received in Buffalo on March 22, 2005. Today,
Feb 13, 2006 I received a letter saying that our file was transferred
to Seattle to "complete the analysis of your application and determine
if a personal interview with a visa officer is required." We have also
recently found out that one of us (not the original applicant) would
now qualify as a provincial nominee. Of course that takes an
additional $500, and then we would have to resubmit our application
ENTIRELY under the other person's name, new FBI paperwork, etc.,
including another $1100 application fee. That is a much quicker
process, 9 months from start to finish, but I don't want to withdraw
our initial application if we are almost there. Anyone out there that
can read the signs? Should we hold off on initiating the Provincial
Nominee process? Or is this a sign of reorganization under the new
government? Any thoughts, opinions or information of your experience
welcome. Sally
