TRA references

just wondering

who is expected to do the references for your
past jobs? i only ask cos i am gonna have to get a reference from approx
18 years ago. I dont know where to get hold of the manageress at the
time but the assistant managaress is still in touch with me. would she
be able to do it or do i need to hire a private detective

If the company is no longer trading then you need to write and sign a
letter saying you have tried to contact them and they (as far as you are
aware) are no longer trading.
If they are still trading then if you still know somebody in the
company, you could get them to sign a form stating that you worked then
between blah and blah.
Correct me if I'm wrong but i think thats the way?!

well that is one worry out of the way. she is god
mother to my youngest.
now just gotta find out personell address for a large uk company that
produces aircraft, weapons, systems etc

no idea where to start as
the site i worked at is now gone
