Default They lost my I-89 form

Hello everybody

Last week I posted that after my I751 petiion approval i went to local
uscis office for stamping my passport in May . they stamped my passport
and till now i havent recieved the card. SO i sent an inquiry to them
and today I got a letter from them

"A final decision has been made on ur case an your case was approved in
may,2005------------"

In last they have written "NOTE: Your A-file was requested and checked
for Form I-89 adit processing card that was done in May,2005. It is not
in the file".

So according to me I need to go again for ADIT processing again. But do
you think that something is wrong going on in my case or is this the
normal habit of uscis of loosing files and forms.

Please help friends.

---------------Updated----------------

I went to local INS office today and Officer took my A# and search
something in system. I have also shown her letter I got yesterday . She
said it seems like we sent them but they didn't recieve it.

I am not sure whether that is possible or not. But she said Ok I will
redo it and she again processed my I-89 form, took finger prints
,signatures and pictures and thats it.

Just 5 mins of work .

I still require suggestions from you regarding what you think is going
on.

Regards

Why? Is our suppositions going to make a difference in when you receive
your green card? Of course, not. However, I do understand why you
might want an explanation.

Yes, CIS does "loose" (lose that is) things. Or CIS somethings
'forgets' to send in the I-89 for processing and it is left in the file.

For example, our DAO forgot to send in my husband's I-89 for manufacture
of the card. In your case that might have been the same thing but then
again, perhaps not because CIS in Lee's Summit could not find it in your
file. So it might well be that it was misplaced somewhere between the
time you signed and fingerprinted it originally and it was received by
the service center for manufacture.

Instead of being inquisitive accept the good fortune that your situation
was easily correctable and that in less than a month you will have your
green card in the mail.

Hey BTW , what is I-89?

Why they can't pull up the photo, FP & signature from the Biometrics
they have done during I-485?

I got conditional green card when I came to USA. I mean I enter USA
through marriage. I dont think I have gone through I-485.

I-89 is a form which is used to produce your green card.

Sap,

They can probably pull up that information, but then what? There still
must be an I-89 submitted to request the manufactuer of the card itself.

No actually some DO are using the biometric's info to generate the green
card It is my understanding, however, that not all offices have this
capability.

I knew they used the biometrics info to generate a green card, I just
thought the I-89 was evidence of the "go-ahead" to make the card.

Did they filed that I-89 when you had interview?

Hi:

Also, sometimes the I-89 card that is done is rejected by the machine
that produces the I-551. Kind've like putting a dollar bill in a subway
token machine. [The ones at the Wilshire-Western station in LA do not
like $5 bills for some reason.]
