We called and made the appt approximately, mid September and they gave
us an appt for EAD/AOS/AP fingerprinting for 11/4.

Just a thought - don't call it interview because, it's not an interview.
It tends to lead people to think they have to be or will be
"interviewed" at the appt.

Not knowing your status it's hard to say. If K-3 or K-1 and you have been
here 76 days or more, not until you have your EAD card in hand.

Do you live in the Brooklyn NY area? If you do you will need to apply at
the SSA Brooklyn Card Center not at the SSA office that services your zip
code. The center, located at 625 Fulton Street in downtown Brooklyn NY.

You will need Form SS-5:

Proof of age, identity and work authorized status. Take your birth
certificate (BC) (if you have it), passport and EAD card. Passport will
work for age and identity if you don't have your BC.
