Default Spouse visa timeline

The official "Got it" post is on the Lifestyle forum, but I know lots of
you don't frequent it, so here's my timeline....

April 27th 2003,
Medical (in UK)
May 29th, Prospective Spouse Visa granted (in UK)

November 2nd, arrived in Brisbane
January 31st, The Bloke and I got
married
February 24th, lodged application for residency, in Brisbane

March 22nd, Yellow Envelope, containing Temporary Residence Visa for 2
years, PR comes after that!

The case officer apologised for her staff
being over-zealous in requesting the original of the Pros Spouse grant
letter, and said she would have been happy with the photocopy.

Good
luck to everyone still waiting......

Pollyana, the happy bunny :)

Thanks Atticus; most unexpected!!!

Jodie - certainly will do, not
tonight owing to having had too much of the bubbly stuff, but I will do
a list for you. I can tell you now, we sent a lot lot less tha for the
Pros Spouse, and yet we still had lots returned - all the personal
stuff, and even some of the joint bills have been returned. I'll sort it
all out tomorrow and get back to you.

Pollyana, the happy bunny!

(PS
If this posts several times, its down to the wobbly fit my computer just
had, NOT to the amount of alcohol consumed tonight!)

I think your past threads must have been used as a
help for everyone applying for prospective spouse, especially me! So
thanks.

Thanks guys;
Jodie, I think someone did post about 2 months ago that
you can get the visa over the counter in Sydney. You can't in Brisbane,
we had to do it by post. I can't remember whether it was on this forum
or the lifestyle one though.

Jasper - "Pros Spouse" is the lazy way of
writing "Prospective Spouse" - ie "Fiance", which is the visa you get if
you are coming to Oz to get married. You then have to apply for
residency afterwards.
