Default some questions

hi there,

I am new to this board and have some questions. I am from Singapore and
my fiance is a US citizen. We are getting legally married at the end of
this month in Singapore followed by the wedidng ceremony (church,
reception) in April 2004. When we marry legally we will get our marriage
certificate and my fiance (well husband by then) will file the i-130 and
then the i-129f. My question would be..

would they view our marriage as marriage with intent to enter the US? I
mean technically it is so right? We want to have me live in the US
because chances of my fiance getting a job in Singapore is slim.

Also we will not be living together throughou our marriage live while
they are processing the visa.. would that be a problem?

Can my husband by then add me to say his health insurance, bank accts
and income tax(i know he can do this one) without me being in the US?

What if we get the interview before april (which is before the wedding
ceremony) and don't have pictures of a wedding ceremony yet? would
showing bills of booking the restaurant, letter from priest, invites etc
be seen as proof?

Can they reject us? We have pictures etc of our relationship (I have
been to the us 3 x and my fiance to singapore 3x as well).

I am sorry i have so many questions. We are paranoid about being
rejected and it really sucks not being able to be with your wife/husband
after marriage.

You will be just fine. You have every right to benefit from immigration.
Don't worry about the details that much today. People here will answer
your questions, but most of all do some reading on your own, and talk to
your hubby. I am sure that he is hard at work getting all the info he
needs. There are some good immigration books at bookstores in the USA.

I am not sure I understand your question about an interview before
your wedding date. Would not your husband file the paperwork after
the wedding?

oh what i meant was we will be legally married end of the month but we
won't have the ceremony (you know.. the wedding party and all) until
April - we have everything booked though.

It is my understanding that the legal marriage is all that immigration
is concerned with. Whatever you do to celebrate the event is your
business. It will not matter if you have an interview before the
ceremony. The fact that you are legally married is what they are
concerned with.
