Default skilled worker?

Could anyone look into this situation: I have a job offer in a 60 point
occupation, no experience and no degree in the nominated profession (a
degree in a related field, which cannot be assessed as relevant for the
nominated occupation). The target state is SA (so, perhaps I may need
110 instad of 120 points to qualify?). Do I stand any chance without
any relevant experience and with no relevant degree, but with a
definite job offer? How many points could I hope for to accumulate on
the application? I am under 30 and have high competence in English.

I would check this in more detail, but I think that it is no longer
possible to get to Australia just because you have a job offer, it is
much more complex than this, I would recommend you speak to a Mara
registered agent to discuss your options.

What occupation is the job offer in?

Unless you migrate on a temporary business skills visa that the hiring
company would have to prove that you are needed.

Since April 2005, labour market testing is generally not part of the
requirements for employer nominated migration.

The position is in tax accounting, but it is only an entry-level
position. So the employer, could have, techically speaking, hired any
local accounting graduate.

I'm very curious as to what the job is as the employer wants to hire
someone with no experience and no degree relating to that job. Seems a
bit odd to me.

As for the visa I don't know either except it would have to be employer
sponsored as you lack the qualifications to apply on your own.

Good luck.

Ok that makes sense.

I still think the only route is employer sponsored, although regional
sponsored may work (but I don't know the requirements for that one).
The only think I would be concerned about is the salary. I thought I
read somewhere that there needs to be a minimum salary in order to
apply for employer sponsorship. I doubt the position you speak of
would meet that.

Also you didn't mention if your employer can/would sponsor you. I would
look into that as it may be the only way.

I really think you should speak with an agent if you are interested in
taking the job.

You should check out this link in the mean time as it may answer some
questions.

I just found the link that I remember reading about the salary level.

http://www.gomatilda.com/news/article.cfm?articleid82

It is from May though so there may be some more current news.

Thanks for the advice. I will not meet the minumum salary requirement
for sure. As for the job offer, I have strong business education and
experience background, and a minor in accounting. It is only an
entry-level position. However, that is not sufficient to have my
qualifications approved by CA or CPA Australia, since neither my
experience nor my major is accounting related.

I think I will have to speak to an agent about my options.
