Default Skill Matching Database

Hi All

As well as completing the visa application (136 MODL) hubby also
completed the skill matching pages of the form. Anyone know at what
stage his details will be added to the database.

Just trying to satisfy my own curiosity.

I think our details were added in about 4-5 weeks after they received
the application.

They have had our application since 13 July and still no details
on the site.

Wonder why not.

They've been incredibly busy over there. I know there are August
applicants who have just gotten there acknowledgments. I'm sure the
skill matching database is pretty low on their priority list. That's
just my guess.

From what I've heard the database is a good idea but isn't widely used
so not much really comes of it anyway.

Thanks for that.

Hubby isn't expecting to get a job from it anyway but I was just
wondering how ours still wasn't on. We have had our acknowledgement
since 14 August so someone has looked at the application. Would have
thought it would have been separated then and passed on at that point.
Maybe ours has been lost in the post.

I believe they do separate that part from the application, but if there
was a slowdown at ASPC in August, then there may be at the place that
enters the info into the database. Just a theory.

I would also antipate a delay in visa processing once they start working
on the month of June as they had a lot more applications then normal.
Partly due to the year end I think, and partly due to the discontinuing
of one of the visa classes.
