Default Should I Be Worried - Please Help

Hi All

I had applied for Australian Immigration in October 2002. To this date
I have received only two letters (together in one envelope) from DIMIA
giving me my reference number OSF 2002/168886 dated 25/11/2002 and
requesting to verify documents via the institutions.

I did that, and have confirmation that my previous institutions did
send in the documents before the time limit of 49 days.

Now it has been almost one year and I haven't have any further
correspondence from DIMIA. Is that normal?. Or should I be worried
that somehow something has gone wrong.

What should be my recourse in this situation. Any advice/comments are
highly appreciated.

TIA
Sohail

Dear Sohail,

When your application exceeds the processing standard of 52 weeks you can
make a polite enquiry but ultimately nothing happens until there's a case
officer assigned. Give it another month and then call them.

Cheers
