Short stay visitor tourist visa application taking too long in Washington
Hi all.
I've applied for a short stay visitor or tourist visa and sent my application to the Australian Embassy in DC more than 6 weeks ago and still waiting for my approval. Does anyone have the same experience? The application was received by the embassy about 6 weeks ago. I'm not a US citizen, therefore I'm not qualified for an ETA. I've also sent my employment letter, bank statements, payslips, etc to ensure 'smooth' processing. Does this 'long processing time' have anything to do with the fact that I'm an Indonesian citizen and the fact that the Australian government doesn't really have a 'friendly' or relaxed immigration policy towards Indonesian citizens? Thanks. |
