Default San Diego Sports Arena neighborhood - Good Nite Inn SeaWorld - is it a safe area?

I'm looking at December 26-28 and considering the
Good Nite Inn SeaWorld motel
3880 Greenwood St
http://www.goodniteinn.com/sd_seaworld.htm
It has excellent rates ($50/night + tax). It also seems to have
a very convenient location. Is there a catch? The TripAdvisor reviews
mention nude bars, but I don't know what that means about
the neighborhood. Is this a reasonably safe area to be coming back to at
night?

I've tried Priceline also, but that particular weekend seems to be
difficult.
I will keep trying, though. I am considering this for a backup.
Otherwise we will probably stay in a private room in the hostel in the
Gaslamp district.

San Diego Sports Arena area is a safe neighborhood at night. But at Christmas
time make sure you have a room at the Good Nite Inn.

The area is safe. There is a nude bar somewhat near the motel but doesn't
seem to be a problem. Keep in mind the rates may go up as you get closer to
the dates you plan to stay, as they get more reservations. Probably a good
idea to make a reservation, which you can always cancel if you find
something better.
