Default Round the world trip -leaving & returning to Singapore?

I'm trying to organise a trip from May till August this year. The trip
would involve going from Singapore to Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Thailand
and then back to Singapore.
I'm trying to do it as cheap as possible. Does anybody know if there are
any round the world type deals or would it be cheaper to get the flights
individually. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Doesn't sound like you're going "around the world". To buy an RTW
you'll end up having to go through the Americas to get home. That will
take an extra couple of days.

RTW fares vary according to where you start. Buy passing through
Australia normally adds about $1,000 to the RTW fare. Plus, RTWs don't
allow back-tracking. You might get away with Australia and Thailand as
side trips while passing through Singapore, but I expect you'll end up
paying extra for NZ and Fiji (or buying them as separate tickets).

Suggest you go through a travel agent.

There are round the world tickets with airline alliances like Star
Alliance or One World, but they generally have strict restrictions
(max # of stops per continent, limits on backtracking, etc.), and are
usually more expensive than buying a series of one-way flights in
advance from a discount broker that specializes in multistop trips
(like airtreks.com, trailfinders.co.uk, or statravel.com).

Some kind of Oz/NZ airpass might make sense, if you expect to take
several flights in that region.

I think it would be cheapest to go to a good travel agent and have them
string together a bunch of tickets.
