Default Right of landing fee

Hi,

I applied for immigration to Canada and received my landing
papers in 2001. Unfortunately, I received the landing papers
too late. The papers were valid for only 2 weeks. I could
NOT land in Canada and my visa expired.

I was reading about immigration to Canada again and on a web
site. It says that the right of landing fee is refundable! It
reads:

"The Right of Permanent Resident Fee is fully refundable
if for any reason the applicant or accompanying dependents
do not land in Canada as permanent residents."

That's true for us, because neither me nor my wife landing in
Canada. I have two questions and will be glad if anybody could
help me with them:

1) I was wondering how accurate is the above statement.

2) If I can get the right of landing fee back, what should
I do?

Thanks,

Default Re: Right of landing fee

Return you unused visas to tthe visa office that issued them and ask for a
refund. Keep copies of all correspondence and of the visas concerend.
