residence and citizenship application

Shortly after applying Canadian citizenship, I relocated to to states.
My citizenship application is still in process.
This year I am filling 2004 tax return. I have two choices:
1. Declare non-resident of Canada and save some money.
2. Declare resident and pay high Canadian tax

Could you please advise me what option would be appropriate so that it
does not effect my citizenship application?

always do what you were. If you were a non-resident filing a resident is
equally wrong. There is no obligation to stay in Canada after you have met
the requirements to apply for Citiz.
