Hi,

My mom is in Canada on visit visa while her immigrat visa application is in
process. She was issued visa for a year and entry was granted for six
months. I want to renew her stay here. What are valid reasons when
applying for renewel.

She is taking care of my daughter who is three years old and has become very
attached to her. Leaving could be traumatic for my daughter. Both my wife
and I work and have to leave before 6:00 AM. There isn't any day care
centre open this early in my area and the ones which are open have a long
waiting list. Are these good reasons

No that is not sufficient reason, you can apply for an extension to
Vegreville, but it is doubtful if she will get more than 6 months.
