Default Refusal Fears

I applied to sponsor my wife from Ecuador with upfront medicals six
months ago:

1) Can they refuse an application without calling us for an
interview?, 3 months ago they asked for more proof of our relationship
before our marriage (which we submitted two months ago) but they haven't
called us for an interview.

2) Now that the six months "limit"
(according to the AOR letter) has ended, does it really help if I call
my MP for help?

3) I ordered my CAIPS 2weeks ago, what kind of
information should I expect from them? (I am thinking about deadlines or
selection decision)

Thank you

Yes, but it would be unusual.

There is no six month limit. CIC tries to process spousal applications
within in 6 months, but there is no guarantee. Your MP will not be able to
help you at this stage, but you may find out the state of the application.

Personally I think that you are getting a little "ansty" and probably should
wait a bit more. If the application is refused, you will have the right of
appeal.
