Default Refugee Question

Scenario

A Refugee is approved after waiting for 6 months for his claim to be heard.
Now when does the counter start for him in terms of accumlating the required
time for citizenship? Is it from the approval date or when the PR status is
issued for him and does his 6 months count towards citizenship?

As long as he had legal status in Canada, it's typically counted as
half-time. It's never a good idea to apply AS SOON AS you've met the three
years anyway, to allow for miscalculations.

Take your time, don't bother counting days unless you're outside of the
country and apply when you've been present for AT LEAST 3.5 years. You've
waited this long, a few extra days won't kill ya. :-) Good luck.
