Default Reference Letter from employer??

Hi all, im at the very beginning of the application process and i
was asked by a consultant to request a reference letter from my
current employer detailing the contents of my job for the assessment
from IEAust?

I read up on the required documents from IEAust, they only ask for
degree certs, certified transcripts and a short resume, but it doesnt
mention anything about a reference letter from employer, so do i need a
reference letter from my current employer??

can anyone advise me on this??

You have to include a reference letter from your employer with any 136
Skilled Independant Application, as it states on the 136 Checklist....

"c) Evidence of specific work experience
• Reference(s) from employer on official letterhead containing the
name, position, title and contact details of the person who signed the
reference, along with period of employment and specific duties
undertaken by the applicant."

thanks for the check list, but the thing with the reference letter is
that my current employer doesnt know that im wanting to apply for a
oz visa, and i dont really want to reveal this until ive got the visa
for sure....

has anyone been in my situation??

Dear LGS,

Wouldn't want to comment on what your agent is up to, but normally you
wouldn't need a reference for a Washington or Sydney Accord application.
However at some stage you do need to get an employer reference if at all
possible for your PR application as Jonah's Mummy says.
