Default Received Positive Skills Assessment Today!!

Hi All,

Just wanted to share our good news. We had a letter waiting
for us when we got home from work tonight to say hubby's skills
assessment has been approved. What a huuuugggge relief!!

And the good
news is that it only took 24 days (21 days if you count it to the day
the Agent sent us the confirmation letter!).

Cant quite believe it yet.
Got some hard thinking to do now though as our Agent wants us to decide
which state to apply to for STNI - anyone got any comments? SA or Vic -
you decide!???

Thanks for positive comments peeps.

Rob, sorry to see your assessment
is causing problems. Keep your chin up - as my nan used to say, if its
worth having sometimes you have to fight for it. (No fists though -
just determination eh?!)

Way86, hiya! Hubby is an Electrical Engineer
which should have been (and as it turned out) quite straightforward. We
were worried though as he has a dual degree (electrical and electronic)
and our Agent was worried this may be a problem - glad it turned out not
to be!

So thats the first hurdle - I can see lots more in the
distance!!

j&s,

Congratulations! Give yourself a nice toast!
You made it halfway through and that's good enough reason to be in a
good mood!

Good luck on your application.

Cheers!
Hannah

Hi J&S

Good to hear.

We are awaiting our TRA assessment. Hoping to
recieve it this month. It'll be 3 months at the end of July.
Our agent
has said it should be with us very soon. I certainly hope so.
As soon
as it comes we hope to apply for SIR in SA.

Was yours a TRA
assessment?

Graham

Hi John & Sue

I guess we'll be heading for Adelaide if we're lucky
enough to get through everything.
I have been to Oz before but can't
remember much about it as I was very young. My parents emigrated when I
was 1 year old as £10 poms but came back 3 years later after my father
had died.

We lived in Melbourne but as I said before I can't really
remember much about.

We were hoping to apply as skilled indie but
missed out when the points went up. We would have gone out there to have
a reccie but if everything goes OK and we get the SIR we could be out
there in the new year which means the money could be better spent when
we get there.
