Default Re: Visa Passport Stamp

Hi all,

For those of you with validated visas, did passport control
stamp the actual visa itself? We have seperate stamps on different
pages on the passport... I had booked ETAs before the visa was granted
as I wasn't expecting them before this trip, and am therefore hoping
that I haven't confused the system although I told the guy at passport
control they were perm visas.

I ask as the policy for extra baggage at
Singapore Airlines appears to be on an unstamped visa, which ours
aren't....

Cheers

Paul

They don't stamp the visa, just the passport.

If your visa was granted
after your ETA, then it should cancel the ETA. If it was the other way
around, then the ETA simply does not take effect. An ETA cannot cancel
a PR visa (since 1 July 2002) but other temporary visas can.

Thanks,
the ETA predates the granting of the PR.
