Hi!

My wife is currently in a study permit for the past 3 months and it is
valid for the next 2 years (2009)

Recently I moved to canada as well but I am working in a different
province than my wife.

Now my wife is missing me so much and wants to join me after dropping
the course.

My question is
Will she be able to come and join me leaving the university.? In that
case, should we cancel the study permit and apply for a dependent
visa.? or just do nothing.

Please advice me.
regards
SAV

Dear Jim Humphries,

My wife came to canada 3 months ago on a study permit.

I came to canada last week with a work permit for 2 years.

Now my wife wants to cancel her studies and join me. Currently she is
working in a different province.

So what is the procedure.?
should I cancel her study permit or change her study permit to an open
work permit?
(or)
Just do nothing.. she can leave her university and join me..

waiting for your reply.

thanks and regards

Your wife will need to apply for a change of conditions from student to
visitor or accompanying spouse. If she just leaves her University she would
be in violation of her study permit.
