I surfed on this site and I am appauled at some of things said on this
forum, especially by mb_bound. I do not like to use this term, but he
sounds like an absolute farmer-type, low-class lefty faggart I have ever
met (or in this instance, read). You think Australia need wisdom, I
think you need wisdom. I am currently on a student visa here and my
partner is Australia. You talk about Gough Whitlam being a men of
honour, trying to maintain balance in this country. Economy took at turn
for the worse, he made numerous political mistakes and he was the only
prime minster of Australia to have ever been sacked by the Governor-
General. I may not currently be Australian (trying to get my PR), but I
have studied Australian Politics and Australian History (and I got a
distinction in both okay) and other various forms of media history about
the world. There is no such thing as egalitarianism, and there will
never be, but in comparison to other countries and in comparison to how
Australia was starting from the first settlers, they have come a long
way and is more egalitarian than any other country in the world today.

Greed is not what drives an economy, capitalism is. All these leftists
shit I hear today about socialism and all, I say capitalism to the max.
Not even the US runs on pure-capitalism, but it is good for everyone-
rich or poor because everyone benefits. The bread owner who sells bread
to the public, who pays for his bread, which goes on to give him more
supplies to make more bread and more profit. As far as I'm concerned, I
don't even think there should be a welfare system. The welfare system in
Australia is open and has been abused constantly, and I think it should
be cut out.

Yes, most Australians here are immigrant. And don't give me some
bullshit about an invasion on the Aborigines. Every country was based
immigration. We had British colonies, spanish colonies, french colonies.
It was stolen from the indigenous people.....for crying out loud, so was
every other country that "invade" you don't seem them bitching about it
or "please feel sorry for me" attitude. Get over it!

mb_bound, you are aruging from a microeconomics, think big picture
(macro) or are you incapable of that?

I can't be bothered to waste anymore arguing with you, I can also sit
here and be extremely happy that you're soon to leave the country and
migrate somewhere else. As far as I'm concern, I hope that someone
sterilises you coz even though I have never met you, I don't your genes
are of any worth and it should not be spread to the rest of the other
population. It should die out and hopefully you along with it.

On the same token, Australia has its faults, so does every country. No
country is perfect. There are a lot of things that Australians can take
pride in like being the one of the five oldest continuous democracies in
the world, they had an overwhelming majority of the Australian
population living in a democratic territory. Australia was the finest
triumph of long-distance colonisation the world so far has ever seen. We
measure economic success by the steepnes of the mountain that had to be
climbed. When the first settler came they almost died for starvation.
The climates was strange, I mean hell, from a Darwin perspective (the
first settlers believed in Darwinism) they thought a platypus was a rat
that had a duck beak and web feet sewed on to it. They brought it back
to Britain to be examined to look for stitches.

They have now turned into one of the world's greatest producers of food
and fibres.

Yes, wealth produced has bot been evenly spread, but regimes like the
Soviet Union who claim to have been successful in spreading wealth has
failed dismally to produce enough wealth to spread.

willywh3r3, I hope that you have a great stay in Australia and just
remember, there are a lot of rednecks out there, but don't pay attention
to white trash.

Really...how is that a load of crap. Maybe you'll be so kind as to
elaborate.

For a start!! It's almost incomprehensible!! Is he/she writing in English???

Then - Just what is her/his point??? Waffle!! Waffle!!

The political statements betray an abysmal ignorance of Australian
Politics!!

It is very difficult to understand just what the author means or intends!!
But, what is (maybe!?) comprehensible is subjective clap trap!!!

When you write anything - the two essential keys - are 'MEANING' - What you
intend to say!!

and

'AUDIENCE' - To whom are you saying it!

You write such that your intended audience comprehends what you mean!!
