Default Re: Changing visa status from L1 to L2/H1B when residing in USA

Hi,

I am in L1 Visa and my finacee is also in L1 visa.We are in
different locations.

We are getting married in India in May 2004 and we
are returning back to USA in June end.

Since both of us are in
different locations, I am plannng to resign my job and search new job
where my fiancee resides.

The qn is
1)
do I need to resign my job now
itself and get L2 visa in India and enter into USA with my finacee and
serach for the job OR

Get married , come back to USA then resign the
job and
search for a new job from a H1B sponsor or apply for L2 visa
and search for job?

2)
Can I apply for L2 visa when I am in USA or do I
need to go to India to get L2 visa?

3)
How long can I stay in USA when
I have resigned my job with L1 visa?

4)
I am in L1 and When a new
employer is ready to sponsor H1B visa for me,do I need to go back to
India and get H1B or can I get
stay in USA and work with H1B approval?

Basically I want to know
1)The process invloved
2)Do i need to go
out of USA
3)How long can i stay in USA

when i am in USA and want to
change my visa status from
1)L1 to L2
2)L1 to H1B
3)L2 to H1B
