Hi all,

A few post-July 1st applicatns have already received Meds/PCC
requests.

I am curious as to whether there are any post-July 1st
applicatns who havent heard anything yet (within the 7 day timeframe set
by DIMIA).

George/Alan....what about your clients? Is the consensus
that DIMAI are requesting Meds and PCCs from everyone or are there some
cases where they are requesting more info? or maybe some where you
havent heard anything?

On this site it looks like those of us who
applied post-July 1st have all heard by now.

Cheers

SS

Hi SS,

Yes, it's starting to look as though it's more widespread than we
thought, but I don't think every single applicant is being processed to
medicals, would have to check.

Cheers,

Thanks George, it would be interesting to see if DIMIA are requesting
Meds ec as a matter of course or whether or not their initial 7 day
assessment is very thorough..ie if there is an issue they would request
more information instead.

Hi SS,
Our application arrived in Aus. 4/7
and we recieved acknowledgement letter 21/7.
The letter asked for
further information on two items of the application however also
requested meds and police check. Meds are booked 6/8, police check
requested, cant wait to see how long once it all goes back!!

Great jurassic Spark,

Good to hear that its
becoming a practise within DIMIA to request meds and pcc along with ack.

I agree, but
change has to start somewhere... Post July applicants are yet unsure of
how long the process will take. Time will tell.

Hi ss,
Our application is
skilled independant 136 with my wife as the main applicant as she's a
nurse.
Firstly,on the application our daughters birthdate was apparently
written as 1/3/96 and not 1/2/96 as stated on her birth cert and
passport, Dimia just wanted written confirmation of the correct date.
Secondly my wifes reference letter did not specifically detail the hours
she has worked for the last 4 years and we have had to supply an updated
reference with the specific information on it.
We are using an agent and
they reckon the grant letter could be 2 months from the return of the
police check.

Heres hoping.

Nick
