Default Re: age when applying

Could someone help me out here.

At the mo i get 120 points and pass the
points test !!
i get 20 points because im 29 years old at the mo,
however i will be 30 in may and thus will lose 5 points and fall 5
points below the new pass mark!

Q)When do they take your age from- the
day you apply or the day when the visa will be granted ?

i think i may
need to get my skates on.
Thanks

The key date is ... the date your visa application is received at the
Department of Immigration's Skilled Processing Centre.

Incidentally,
you claim 30 points (not 20) if aged 29 or under ... presumably you mis-
typed?

Good luck!

I believe age is taken from date your application is lodged with DIMIA.
Age seems to be the mayor success determining factor with skilled
independent applications at the moment. Get your skates on while you
are still young...
