pregnant cost with no medical insurance

Dear friends !

I urgently need your advise!

We are going to arrive in Toronto after one week as independent
immigrants.
But my wife is pregnant and we expect baby at the end of this month
or in may beginning. So I deeply ask you
to explain following.

1. Can my wife get medical insurance just after arriving in Toronto ??
2. What may you advise to decrease our expenditures of childbirth
under circumstance outlined above?
3. how pregnant well be cost with no medical insurance?

No, exsisting conditions 3 months wait in Ontario although baby will be
covered.

Probably mid-wife, but might be too late.

YOu would have to check with the hospitals in Ontario. As an aside are you
flying? You might be refused boarding with your wife in her 8th month,
check with the airline.

AFAIK around $5000 if there is no complication.

Complications will grow that cost a lot.

If you just land in Alberta instead and stay there until the
delivery, Alberta medical will cover you as soon as you land.
