Pre Grant Letter - is this normal?

Am now feeling a little paranoid.
Received my pre-grant letter yesterday.

It says (amongst other bits and pieces):
"PRE-VISA GRANT ADVICE
I am pleased to inform that this application for migration to Australia
is nearing completion. The decision as to whether or not visas will be
granted for travel to Australia will be made once all requirements
listed in this letter have been addressed.
Note – Visas have not yet been granted. Applicants are therefore
cautioned to not give up a job, dispose of property or make other
arrangements, until notified that visas have been granted."

It then goes on to ask me where and when I will be going to have my visa
granted/evidenced etc.

Is this the standard letter? If so, does it mean they still haven't
decided whether or not they will give me a visa?!

Any reassurance (or otherwise!) greatly appreciated.

Steve the difference between our visa letters and his is that he is
in Australia and needs to leave the country before they will issue
him a visa.

To the OP, I'm not sure of the wording in a Pre-grant letter sorry. But
I think it'll be fine.

Cheers guys for your responses - but yes, it is different because it's a
pregrant because they don't officially grant it until I'm out of
Australia.

BTW - I'm a she, not a he. But that's ok!

Madhu,
i guess this is the standard wordings of a pre grant letter. You need to
advise DIMIA about your travel plan and then they will issue your visa
according to it . The poit to remember is that you should be out of
australia at any cost, otherwise if your visa is issued while you are
still inside australia, your PR visa would stand cancelled so be a bit
watchful.

I believe it is pretty sick. I am one of those people that are currently without health insurance. This is a direct result of the insurance that is offered to me by my employer. They currently offer Aetna, which for all intent and purposes it is a catastrophic policy. Doctor visits and medications are nearly covered, therefore I would rather save $100 per month instead of giving it to the slimey bastards at Aetna.
I hope that more people will continue to speak up and hold these health insurance conglomerates accountable, or the health of the average American will continue to go down.
