Hi Friends,

I finally got my PR Card Today after 5 months and facing all types of
hurdles from PR Card Service center People. It is really stupid thing
they say 1 month in their website for newly landed immigrants to get
PR Card...It's not real...

Here is my Details

1. Landed in Toronto Airport on Aug 20,2003 - They cheked all my
passport and other Financial statements from bank and Immigration
officer taken a Picture for Issuing PR Card. I given the address to
sent PR Card and Officer says wait for 1 month to get PR Card if not
call the 1-800 number..

2. After 6 weeks I called 1-800- number and they said they don't have
any info at this time.. and wait for another 2 weeks and then call
1-800

3. After 8 weeks when I called them they said your Picture is not
good(Too DarK) and we will send Retake Picture appointment within 2
weeks.

4. after 2 weeks I got mail from PR Office to take Retake Picture at
Toronto Immigration Office on 20th Nov,2003.

5. Finally I got my PR Card by mail today 10th Jan,2004


I am not sure where is 1 month vs 5 month...This is canada immigration
service..1-800- number is waste.. they don't know what is going on
..they are just mediaters to pass your info and Other offices info by
fax....
They should have some time frame for each level of processing...and
same thing they have to mention in eclient online service. I am not
sure this system is going to work in long term...
