Default Police clearance and Medicals

My wife and I have one daughter and our next kid is expected by mid
June 2004.
We have received a letter from DIMIA requesting us to do the Police
clearance and Medicals. I just have a few questions.

1. Can we do police clearance now and medicals after the baby is born
or should the police clearance and medicals be done simultaneousley.
2. Does the entire family need to do medicals together or can my wife
alone do the medicals later.
3. We have already informed DIMIA that my wife is expecting (when we
applied in November) so do we still have to fill up the change of
circumstances form.

I will be obliged if anyone can give me some advise on how to proceed
from here.

Thanks and regards

Cliff

Police clearance from country of current residence is only valid for 12
months, so if you go police checks now you'll have less time to make
your first entry.

Wait until the baby's born - unless you've lived somewhere overseas,
where getting a police check might take time, in that case start the
process (for that country) now.

Same point as above. Unless you want to have a very short time to
validate your visa, the whole family should do medicals together.

No need to send form 1022 until the baby is born. You'll need to send
copy of baby's birth cert (showing parents names) together with passport
id page, once the child is born.

Get in touch with your case officer and make sure he or she is ok to put
your application on hold until the baby arrives. Normally this is not a
problem.
