Default Police check and Bridging Visa

Hi all

I am filling out the form 1101 (Police checks). They want to know
all the permanent residential addresses for the last ten years. A
bit of a stupid question, but does that include addresses in Austra-
lia only or also from my home country? A separate police check from
home is on its way.

I will apply for my visa (de facto) in october, and will be leaving the
country for 3 weeks on a bridging visa B. I read that I have to be in
Australia when visa is granted. I don't understand what that means...wh-
at if I am overseas and they want to grant my visa? Is my application
'on hold' while I am overseas?

Thanks for your help,

Barbara

You need to list all your sddresses, regardless of country - so they can
see where you were and at what times.
Getting your visa granted in Aus means that if you are abroad at the ti-
me they decide that you can have the visa, you will need to return to
Australia to have the sticker put in your passport,
Bondipom had this situation with his spouse visa - I believe he told DI-
MIA he would be abroad, and they postponed the grant date till his retu-
rn. Send him a pm, I'm sure he can clarify it for you.

That is correct Pollyana. Just keep your case office informed of your
whereabouts. Where the details were vague on addresses eg student houses
9 10 years ago I just put what I could remember. For one address I had
Rusholme, Manchester.

If you apply onshore, your visa must be granted onshore. It will be put
on hold while you're overseas.
