Re: PLS ADVISE: CHANCE OF GETTING H1B VISA?
1. To qualify to change your status to H-1B you must
a) Be maintaining a lawful nonimmigrant status
b) Be offered a job which requires a specialized degree (a bachelor's
degree in one or a few particular majors) or its equivalent in
education and experience
c) Have the required degree or its equivalent in education and
experience
d) Have an employer willing to pay you the prevailing wage for that
job in your area
2. The USCIS filing fee is $130. There may be other expenses depending
on whether you need an educational and/or work experience evaluation,
request premium processing, or retain legal counsel.
