Hi

i've recently had a telephone interview for my spouse visa 309 and the
co said she wants more proof of my defacto relationship. there is not
much more that i can send and am now feeling absolutely distraught that
i might not get this visa. I'm terrified. I thought i had provided
enough info as we have been living together for 15 months and have rent
agreements. we've not got any joint bills and although we don't have a
joint account my oh's wage goes in my account. I've sent all this
information.

has this happened to anyone else and does anyone have any
recommendations - i've got 21 days to respond

please help

Firstly, deep breath, many people have been in this position.

secondlycan you ask your case officer what she suggests? What sort of
info is she looking for?

I don't know if you've done any of this already, but - highlight your
bank statement entries and annotate where the money goes in, and where
it goes out to pay bills on the property.
If you can, get Stat decs from your landlord to say that you live
together as a couple, not as friends.
Did you send Stat Decs from family - on both sides - as well as friends?
Have you any proof of holidays together, or places you have been invited
as a couple.
Have you made Wills, leaving everything to each other? If not, get down
to Smiths, get some cheap forms and fill them in then send copies! Easy
to do, follow the instructions, and very good proof of commitiment.
Are you in any clubs together? Do you have anythingfrom work or
somewhere nominating each other as next of kin?

Finally - if you have a list of what you have already sent, I will pm
you my email address. Send it to me and I'll have a look - off to bed
shortly, but back in about 8 hours!!!

Also our agent recommended incluing photo's of us together at various
stages of our relation ship and also photo's with each others parents.

Have you made any joint purchases that the receipts are in both names?

Do you have any bills that are in your partners name that comes out of
your account? (Most of our bills were in my name but came out our joint
account) Joint membership for any clubs? Joint travel, invites etc

Have your friends and family completed Statutory Declarations?

Also contact your CO and ask her what kind of evidence they are looking
for. and as someone said earlier highlight on your bank statement your
partners wages.

They are basically looking for as much possible evidance that you
are a couple.

Emsie,

May I ask who your Migration agent is? Have you used a UK or an
Australian agent? I used an Australian agent who made thing 100 more
stressful than that it should have been (letting police checks expire
and passports about to run out) when originally having 2 1/2 years
remaining, got there in the end though. The person I then spoke with
full of advise and was highly recommended by Australian House was a
gentleman by the name of Ian Harrop wish I had used him, just thought an
Australian agent would have been quicker.

www.ianharrop.co.uk Excellent feedback on him

Good Luck

Feel able to telephone my colleague Lorraine Beaumont (who used to work
at the Australian High Commission in London handling family
applications) - you can reach her on UK number 023 80 488777.

Best regards.

Firstly i would like to say a huge thank you to everyone that has
replied to my cries of help - Alan i will call your friend this
afternoon if i can sneak it in at work. If not i'll ring her tomorrow -
thank u very much!

In answer to the earlier responses i haven't used an agent - wish i had
now but i thought that it was quite straight forward and thought that we
had plenty of proof - obviously not. I can't get on this website much
at the moment as i don't have the computer at home so am having to do a
quick check on my lunchbreak at work. I'm still worried sick but am
trying to be postive and pro-active now.

Thanks again - i will keep you updated
